Matt Dewoskin ATS College Basketball Picks Record (Est 11/3/2025)

All ATS Selections: 15-6
Perfect 3-0 Cards: 2-5

Maine at Rutgers

Start Time: 6:30 PM EST

Maine heads to The RAC for a matchup with the very Scarlet Knights of Rutgers. The Scarlet Knights just got done wrecking Rider by 28 points.

Maine has already lost to the Colonials of George Washington by 20 and Stony Brook by 11. The Maine Black Bears aren’t much better than Rider, and now they have to go to The RAC? Good luck. Maine struggles offensively, and they won’t find many clean looks against a Big Ten defense.

Rutgers has dudes that are brought in the compete with the athleticism and muscle that we see at a Power-Five conference. Maine will be outclassed, struggle to score, and Rutgers will cover the number. Lock up these Scarlet Knights laying 20 points.

Best Bet: Rutgers -19.5

Fairfield at Seton Hall

Start Time: 7:00 PM EST

Seton Hall game total unders are a system play at this point in the season. The Pirates won against St. Peter’s and Wagner, but only scored 77 and 68 points in those two games. Seton Hall also plays at a remarkably slow pace. They haven’t lit up low-majors, and they play slowly. These are both signs that an under is in play.

Fairfield scored 68 points in their season opener at Penn State, but only managed 74 against NJIT. Their pace is about average, but they’re playing on the road. Shots are always a bit harder to make at another gym.

Keep locking up Seton Hall unders. They’re offensively challenged, still figuring out their rotation, and had to replace a lot. This one should cruise under the 141 total.

Best Bet: Under 141

Santa Clara at Xavier

8:30 PM EST

Xavier is undefeated in their first two games this year. This is a fact. However, they barely got past Marist and Le Moyne at home. Santa Clara has to travel to the Cintas Center in Cincinnati, OH, for this one, but they are a live dog against a Xavier team that looks like it’s begging to get picked off.

The Santa Clara Broncos just beat McNeese State at the Leavey Center on Friday. They have size, experience, scoring, and athleticism. This is exactly the kind of hungry team that can clip a power conference school in the non-conference schedule.

Santa Clara is one of the better teams in the WCC not named Gonzaga or St. Mary’s. Xavier will likely be in a battle for the bottom of the Big East. Xavier has also struggled to get past low-majors in their first two games. They looked primed to get sniped by a mid-major, and Santa Clara is just the team to take them down. Lock up the Broncos to get the job done here, and sprinkle the money line.

Best Bet: Santa Clara +3.5
