Double-digit week numbers are here. It’s hard to believe nine weeks of NFL action are already behind us. We’re on to Week 10. The NFL trade deadline has passed. Some teams are gearing up for playoff runs, while others look toward the future. Week 10 will kick off at Empower Field at Mile High Stadium. It’s Thursday Night Football on Prime. Let’s dive into these Raiders-Broncos picks, preview, and best bets.
The visiting Las Vegas Raiders were on the side of trading away one of their stars. Wide receiver Jakobi Meyers had asked for a trade before the season and was finally granted his wish. He moves on to the Jacksonville Jaguars in return for a fourth and sixth-round pick next year. At 2-6, it’s been a bleak first season for Pete Carroll, Chip Kelly, and Geno Smith. They just signed veteran wide receiver Tyler Lockett last week, and the thought now is their young receivers can get more work as the Raiders see what they have in Tre Tucker, Jack Bech, and Dont’e Thornton Jr.
The Denver Broncos, on the other hand, come into this game at 7-2 and in sole possession of the AFC West Division lead. Denver was quiet at the trade deadline, opting to make no moves. They are on a six-game winning streak as they enter this Week 10 home game. The streak includes a win over the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles. Their only two losses came back-to-back weeks on the road. They lost to the AFC-leading Colts by one point on a field goal after a questionable penalty. Then they lost to the second-place AFC West Los Angeles Chargers, also on a field goal as time expired.
Thursday Night Football Picks, Preview, and Best Bets: Las Vegas Raiders at Denver Broncos
Brock Bowers Over 6.5 Receptions (+20)
With the departure of Jakobi Meyers and the focus shifting to their younger players, Brock Bowers is now the only old reliable target for Geno Smith. Meyers was always a safety blanket for Geno, and now a healthy Bowers gets to be even more than he was already. Bowers has struggled to open the year with injuries, so it’s been a struggle for him. We’ve seen two healthy games from Bowers in 2025. In Week 1, he had eight targets, five catches, and 103 yards. In Week 9, he had 12 catches in 13 targets, 127 yards, and three touchdowns.
I don’t think we’ll see a game like that again this week, but seven catches? Absolutely. Even when he was playing hurt, he was peppered with targets. I considered his yards, but against this tough Broncos defense, it may be hard for him to get far. Kelly will design screens and short dump-offs to get the ball in Bowers’ hand, and we’ll cash the over here.
RJ Harvey Over 11.5 Receiving Yards (-120)
Getting an exact handle on how the Broncos go about using this running back room on a week-to-week basis can be a little difficult. But it seems they like the rookie RJ Harvey and keep looking for ways to work him into the action. Last week, he caught all five of his targets, stacking up 51 yards in the receiving game. In six of the Broncos’ nine games in 2025, Harvey has easily cleared this number. Even bad teams like the Tennessee Titans had no problems getting multiple running backs over this total. I see this game being pretty smooth sailing for Denver overall, so get the ball in the young back’s hands and let him keep working like he has the majority of the year.
Denver Broncos +8.5 (-110)
The Broncos have had their ups and downs this season when it comes to how they’ve beaten teams. The Jets game was close, but keep in mind that it was in London. They are at home here for Week 10 and facing a Raiders team that just doesn’t have it. They gave a valiant effort against the Jacksonville Jaguars last week, but even that wasn’t enough. Both times these teams played last year, Denver won by 10 points or more.
Denver’s defense is great, and the Raiders are going to struggle to move the ball with an injured offensive line and now missing Jakobi Meyers. Denver’s offense is no joke either, and they should be able to move the ball on this Raiders defense. We’ve seen some close Thursday Night Football divisional battles, but this won’t be one of them.
