Welcome to November! The first College Football Playoff rankings have dropped, and the postseason is in reach for many teams. Either via those playoffs or a bowl game. The weather has cooled off across the country, and it’s perfect for College Football games. Week 10 once again didn’t lack for upsets. Now it’s time to seek out where the best College Football Week 11 upsets may come from. We’ll find our College Football best bets and build an upset parlay.
Last week, #10 Miami dropped another game, this time to unranked SMU. West Virginia took down Houston, and NC State knocked off Georgia Tech. And if it wasn’t for the referees in the Georgia-Florida game, the Gators might have walked home with that win. Now is a good time to remind you to bet these teams individually on the money line, and I like to bet them with the points as well. If you did this last week, it was hugely successful. If they are good enough to pull the upset, it makes a great case for taking them with the points as well.
College Football Week 11 Best Bets: Upset Parlay
Boston College (+340)
The Boston College Golden Eagles will host the SMU Mustangs this week for their annual Red-Bandana Game. SMU is coming into this one riding the high of taking down #10 Miami last week at home. Now they hit the road to take on this lowly 1-8 Boston College team. Next week, they have a much looked forward to bye, and then they take on #14 Louisville. This is the perfect spot for BC to get up and catch the Mustangs sleepwalking. The Red-Bandana game is the yearly game honoring Welles Crowther, a hero during the 9/11 terrorist attacks who was easily identifiable by his trademark red bandana.
This game always creates a get-up spot for the team, and last year they beat Michigan State in this very game. These teams have played twice in recent history, both very physical games. Boston College won the 2023 Wasabi Fenway Bowl at Fenway Park over the Mustangs. SMU won at home last year, but with just over five minutes left in the game, Boston College was only down by three points. Bill O’Brien is a professional; he’ll keep this game physical and close, and get the team rallied around this big opportunity on a special night.
Navy (+1500)
We’re going big this week and tossing in a massive dog. We’ve seen plenty of big dogs hit this year; let’s hope Navy is the next one. They’ll head into Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, Indiana, on Saturday night. It’s a tall task to walk into South Bend and pull the upset, but it’s been done already this year.
One of the biggest factors Saturday night could be the weather. Reports are calling for temperatures around freezing and rain. Maybe even some snow mixed in with it. If that weather can happen, and Navy can control the ball with their triple option pound the rock look, they can stay in this game. If Navy can show up and stay disciplined, they’ll give Notre Dame everything they can as they look to play spoiler on Notre Dame’s CFP hopes.
Nebraska (+105)
Let’s head to the warm California weather for some Big Ten under the lights to round out this parlay with a short dog. The Nebraska Cornhuskers head to the Rose Bowl to take on the UCLA Bruins. Nebraska lost its starting quarterback, Patrick Mahomes Jr, also known as Dylan Raiola, last week to a season-ending injury.
TJ Lateef steps in to replace Raiola. The true freshman is a dual-threat quarterback and the 27th-ranked quarterback in this year’s class. Guess where he’s from? You guessed it, Los Angeles. So he returns home to the state where he was the #41-ranked player out of high school last year to make his first start for the Huskers. Nebraska was projected to be a 4.5-point favorite, and the number swung to over 3 the other way. It’s being corrected now, but the Huskers shouldn’t be the underdogs in this one. Luckily for Matt Rhule, UCLA isn’t a ranked opponent. So all systems go for the Huskers.
Boston College + Navy + Nebraska Parlay (+14332)
Toss these three in a parlay together, and we get a massive number. $20 pays out $2,886.40. Get comfy on Saturday, and root for those dogs!
