Let’s hope a successful October on my NBA best bets (13-8) carries over into November (I’m 0-1 as of this writing). New Orleans Pelicans vs Oklahoma City Thunder
Start Tme – 3:30 PM EST
New season, same ol’ New Orleans Pelicans. Actually, this year’s Pelicans squad could be even worse than last year’s, as there is no guarantee they’ll even win a game this year, given their current 0-5 record.
Sunday definitely won’t be the start of a winning streak for New Orleans, as they are in Oklahoma City, facing the champs, the Thunder. Despite missing Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren tomorrow, the Thunder will cover for us. My line is OKC -21.5.

Chicago Bulls vs New York Knicks
Start Time – 7:00 PM EST
“Are the Chicago Bulls actually good?” I was asked today. And while they look like world-beaters out of the gate this season, winning their first five games, my answer was “no”.
But they’ll make the play-in, like they always do. And you know what else? They will at least cover tomorrow in Madison Square Garden when they face the New York Knicks. My line is New York -3.5.
