NFL Week 9 Anytime Touchdowns

Chase Brown (-130)

First up on the list of players I’m circling for NFL Week 9 anytime touchdown bets is Chase Brown. He’s the only chalky bet on the list. However, as they say on the Nascar Gambling Podcast, you only pay the juice if you lose.

Brown has been much better since Joe Flacco took over. Flacco may be dealing with a shoulder injury. However, he’s expected to play. This may lead them to rely on Brown even more. He’s coming off a game where he just scored two touchdowns, one on the ground and one in the air.

The Bears are allowing an average of .71 rushing touchdowns per game to running backs and .43 receiving touchdowns to running backs. Not only that, they’re banged up and just let Derrick Henry rush for two touchdowns. While Brown isn’t Derrick Henry, he’s still a very talented back. He played ball in Illinois and may have thought the Bears should draft him. Time to show them they definitely should have.

Kareem Hunt (+105)

We’ll continue our list of NFL week 9 anytime touchdowns with Kareem Hunt who, despite coming off a two-touchdown game, is sitting at +105 for an anytime touchdown. On top of that, Isiah Pacheco will miss the game due to injury, which should lead to even more carries and opportunities for Hunt.

The Chiefs play the Bills in a big showdown. This game is usually fireworks, and there should be a lot of points scored. I fully expect Hunt to have redzone opportunities. The Bills’ defense is allowing an average of 1.29 touchdowns to running backs per game.

This doesn’t make sense as plus money. In fact, it’s the one I’m most confident about this weekend. What could go wrong?

DK Metcalf (+140)

DK Metcalf and Aaron Rodgers have continued a strong connection all year. Therefore, Metcalf is next on my Week 9 NFL anytime touchdowns at +140. If I’m putting together anytime of NFL props or parlays with my bets, I’m including Metcalf.

The Steelers have a tough matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. However, I think that will lead to them needing to score points. The Colts may have dominated the Titans last week, but just two weeks ago, they let the Chargers put up 420 passing yards and three receiving touchdowns.

The Colts’ defense is currently allowing an average of 1.12 receiving touchdowns per game to opposing wide receivers. Metcalf has scored a touchdown in five of seven games this year, and I think he’ll make it six of eight as the Steelers need to move the ball through the air to keep up with one of the NFL’s best.

Troy Franklin (+220)

I forgive you if you’ve been living under a rock. In fact, with how things have been in the world, I don’t blame you at all. So maybe you didn’t know that Troy Franklin and Bo Nix were college teammates, and their chemistry has been around for a while.

If you think it’s crazy putting Troy Franklin in my NFL Week 9 anytime touchdowns and bets, you’ve not been paying attention. At +220, the value is excellent, especially given that he’s scored three touchdowns in the last two weeks. I know that can lead to some negative regression. However, I think it’s more of them starting to unlock a new part of the offense.

The Broncos face off against a tough Texans’ defense. The Texans are one of the best defenses in the league against receivers and allow only 0.43 receiving touchdowns per game to receivers. However, Franklin plays out of the slot, and I think he will be able to do a little damage there.

Michael Wilson (+250)

Last on the list of NFL Week 9 anytime touchdowns is Michael Wilson at +250. Yes, I’m fully aware Wilson has only scored one touchdown this entire year. However, the Cowboys just let Troy Franklin score twice out of the slot, the same spot Wilson plays.

The Cardinals have been a mess this year. However, they typically play well against the Cowboys. In fact, they’ve won the last three straight up as dogs in every one of them. In the last game against them in 2023, Wilson didn’t score a touchdown but did put up 86 yards.

While Dallas puts all their focus on stopping Marvin Harrison, I expect Wilson to take advantage of them. The Cowboys are allowing an average of almost two receiving touchdowns per game to receivers, and Wilson should be in line for a decent game.
