UFC Vegas 110: Garcia vs Onama – Predictions & Best Bets
Ante Delija ML (-130) vs. Waldo Cortes-Acosta
One of my favorite moneyline looks of the week comes in the co-main event. Ante Delija looked like a man possessed in his UFC debut. While being known for his takedowns and top control game, he looked sharp with the pressure and strikes. Now he enters a fight with Cortes-Acosta where he should be able to lean on what he’s good at. That takedown game should help him coax to an early win and a very reasonable moneyline.
Donte Johnson – Wins via 1st Round (T)KO (-110)
This is a wildly specific prop for what the line suggests. With that being said, I still think it’s a great value. Johnson is so fast – whether that’s fghting at heavyweight or middleweight. His cut down to his new weight class looks to have gone well and he fights someone who loves eating punches. I’d also love the prop on the inside of a minute here, but in lieu of finding a line on that, this will have to do.
Isaac Dulgarian – Over 2.5 takedowns (-125)
Of all of the specific props on fight stats, nothing looks nicer than the takedown prop for Dulgarian. I would ladder this all the way up into the 5+ range for this one. Dulgarian is dilligent with his attempts and del Valle is pretty good at getting back to his feet. Although I like the moneyline in this as well, the takedown prop is too good to pass up at this number.
Montserrat Conejo +3.5 (+180) vs. Alice Ardelean
Conejo is a large underdog in this fight, but she’s throwing down with a fighter who doesn’t have much in the way of finishing ability. As a result, we’re looking at needing Conejo to win a round in order to cash at nearly 2-to-1. With the head and arm throws she has in the chamber, that really only takes one good one and we’re on the board.
Phil Rowe ML (+160) vs. Seok Hyun Ko
I love the debut performance by KO against Oban Elliott. He cashed for us as a +400 underdog on the moneyline. Despite that, I’m still fading him here because I think the books are too high on that performance. Rowe is far better than Elliott in just about every realm. Additionally, we saw Ko struggle a bit with range in his Dana White’s Contender Series fight.
Talita Alencar – Wins via Submission (+460)
If you’ve followed this column, you know I like to end things with a bang. Alencar fights Ariane Carnelossi, who has struggles with takedown defense in the past. Now she fights a world champion in jiu jitsu who is clearly going to be looking for those early and often. With as much ground time as she is likely to accumulate, this submission prop is ripe for the picking.
