MLB NRFI and YRFI Picks – October 31
Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Toronto Blue Jays
First Pitch – 8:00 pm EST
Rogers Centre – Toronto, ON
Broadcast – Fox
The bats calmed down a bit in Game 5 on Wednesday with only seven runs on the board throughout the whole game. While the Blue Jays did manage to put a couple up in the first inning, the overall trend of the offenses was on a downward trend. Apart from home runs, there was not a run batted in during any of the first three innings. Now hey move to a stadium that is much harder to hit a dinger in. These facts are one of the reasons that I believe in the NRFI here.
In addition to liking the trend on the hitters, the pitchers are a great matchup for the NRFI. When these two squared off in Game 2, Kevin Gausman was exceptional. Although he allowed a run in the first inning, that was the only run he gave up over the first six innings. On the other side of things is Yoshinobu Yamamoto. All he did in Game 2 was throw a complete game with only one run allowed. With just a run a piece over the first 6.0 innings, these two seem like they hve the other team’s number and should be able to get us a quick three outs.
