Daily NBA Player Props – October 27th

Kyle Filipowski – Over 5.5 Rebounds (-130)

Filipowski has been flirting with this number already on the year and the dyanmics of this matchup shoul make it easier on him. He posted four rebounds in the first game and cleared the mark with six in the second. He put up those totals despite being in foul trouble in each of them. Now he gets to play the Suns who love to fire up a three-pointer. Dillon Brooks chucked up 14 deep ball attempts alone and only made three. That should lead us to plenty of rebounding chances.

Tre Jones – Over 1.5 Steals (-130)

I can’t believe we can even get a line this low on Jones. He’s been a menace on defense over the first two games. In those two, he’s already totaled eight steals – going over this mark in each game. The Hawks provide a good matchup for him here as well, being that their backcourt is all banged up. Zaccharie Risacher is questionable for tonight, which means he’ll either not be 100% or we’ll have a backup prone to turning the ball over.

Jabari Smith Jr. – Over 13.5 Points (-110)

It’s sort of a player prop cheat code to take the points against the Nets. Their defense is brutal as they allowed 118 and 131 in their first two games respectively. The reason we’re going with Smith Jr. though is because his projection is so low based on his volume. Sure, he has not been putting up many points so far, but he did take 14 shots last game with nine of them coming from deep. Similarly, he took 15 in the first game with six three-point attempts. Against a team as bad as Brooklyn on defense, he should be able to find 14.
