Daily NBA Player Props – October 25th
Matas Buzelis – Over 15.5 Points (-119)
It’s clear to me that the Bulls have decided to make Buzelis a priority in their offense. He was second on the team in shots taken in the opener with only Nikola Vucevic outpacing him. He may have been even higher had he not had a number of his shot attempts negated by fouls. Driving to the lane quite a bit, he wound up 7-for-7 from the line. In that game, he went off for 21 and that was while going 0-3 from three-point. Give me the same number of shot attempts here and he’ll clear that number easy.
Dillon Brooks – Over 2.5 Three-Pointers (+113)
I love this play simply from the volume perspective. Since coming over in the Kevin Durant trade, the Suns have decided to let Brooks off the leash. He seems to have the go ahead to jack up as many eep balls as he might like. In the first two games combined, he’s already taken 18 three-pointers. That puts him in the top ten of the league in terms of attempts. While he shot poorly in his first game, he did make 50% last time out. We’d only need a sliver of that to get this to cash.
VJ Edgecombe – Over 19.5 Points (+143)
Okay, I don’t expect Egecombe to explode for 34 like he did in his debut, but there is no question that the kid can score. More importantly, he also had the volume to back up another big scoring day. He led the 76ers in shot attempts with 26, and half of those were from three-point. He’d need just a fraction of that volume here and it’s not as if Charlotte is a tough defensive question to answer.
