NFL Week 7 was full of action and, of course, touchdowns! We’ve gone on a bit of a cold streak the past two weeks, but I’m feeling a bounce back in a big way this week! We’re ready to get back to winning with my NFL Week 8 anytime touchdowns! This weekend is National Tight End Day! Therefore, what kind of degens would we be if we didn’t pick all our NFL week 8 touchdown bets as tight ends? Here are five players I’m watching to cash this weekend with my NFL bets!
NFL Week 8 Anytime Touchdowns
Travis Kelce (-110)
We start our NFL National Tight End Day touchdown bets in Week 8 with a guy who’s been playing at a high level for years now. Last year on National Tight End Day, 16 touchdowns were scored by tight ends and 177 catches. In fact, it was Travis Kelce’s first weekend of scoring a touchdown in 2024.
This year, Kelce hasn’t been goose-egged in the end zone. However, he has only scored two touchdowns to go with his 31 catches and 375 yards. There are two particular players you circle to stand out on this particular day, and Kelce is one of them.
He’s also the only one on our NFL week 8 anytime touchdowns list that is juiced past plus-money odds. At -110, even the books expect one of Patrick Mahomes’ favorite targets over the past handful of years to produce. Kelce leads our list of NFL week 8 touchdown bets, and I’m circling his receptions and receiving yards as well.
Tucker Kraft (+135)
Next on our list of NFL Week 8 anytime touchdowns is Tucker Kraft at +135. Kraft opened the season with back-to-back touchdown games. Then he had back-to-back games with no touchdowns. Now, after their bye, he’s back to back-to-back touchdown games and is one of Jordan Love’s favorite redzone targets.
Not only one of his favorite redzone targets, but one of his favorite targets in general. Last week, Kraft was targeted 10 times. He caught five of those for 58 yards and a touchdown. He’ll look to get back at it this week as the Packers face off against their former quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, and the Steelers.
I expect this to be a highly competitive game. Despite the Packers not necessarily looking impressive the past two weeks, they still managed to score 27 points in each week. In fact, they’ve scored 27 points in four out of six games this year. This is an offense that can put up points, and I expect them to do so again, with Tucker Kraft leading the way.
Hunter Henry (+180)
The odds keep increasing as we move along our list of NFL Week 8 anytime touchdowns for National Tight End Day. Next up on our list of NFL touchdown bets is Hunter Henry at +180. If there’s one thing that Drake Maye has done very well this year, it is spreading the ball around. Aside from Stefon Diggs, it’s hard to trust any of their receivers any given week. However, on this special day, we’re trusting Maye to look Henry’s way.
Henry has three touchdowns on the year, two of them coming in one game against the Steelers. He’s averaging a little over 5 targets a game. That doesn’t exactly stand out for our bets, but on the holiday dedicated to his position, we have to look to him to be a playmaker this week.
The Patriots should have an easier matchup against the Browns. Even though the Browns’ defense has been pretty solid, I still expect the tight end to make some noise to celebrate his position’s holiday.
George Kittle (+195)
Next on our list of NFL Week 8 anytime touchdowns is the man who started the National Tight End Holiday himself. Mr. George Kittle. Kittle has a history of performing well on this holiday, and even with Mac Jones at quarterback, he’ll do so again.
Last week, Kittle returned from injured reserve. He had 0 catches for 0 yards. He proceeded to apologize to fantasy coaches and bettors in his post-presser. With this guy’s personality and high-energy motor, if you don’t think he wants to make it up to everybody on National Tight End Day, then you don’t know Kittle.
The 49ers are underdogs against a Texans team that has been pretty bad all year. They’ve been solid against tight ends. However, that’s been against the Rams, Bucs, Jaguars, Titans, Ravens, and Seahawks. None of those teams possesses a tight end with the talent of Kittle. I’m not just taking him as an anytime touchdown scorer. I’m also taking him to score two touchdowns at +1600.
Dalton Kincaid (+230)
Last on our list of NFL week 8 anytime touchdowns with the biggest odds is Dalton Kincaid at +230. Kincaid has three touchdowns in five games this year. Now, coming off a bye on the holiday named after his position, I expect a big game from him.
The Bills play the Panthers, who have been hit-and-miss on defense. The Panthers have allowed three tight ends to score a touchdown this year. Those were Darren Waller, Jake Ferguson, and Hunter Henry. However, against the Jaguars, Brenton Strange was the leading receiver. Against the Cardinals, Tre McBride was the leading receiver. Darren Waller put up 78 yards on them.
In other words, even though it’s only been three touchdowns, tight ends are still having success against this team. I expect Josh Allen to find one of his favorite targets in Dalton Kincaid often, which will likely lead to a touchdown at some point in the game. I also think the Bills will rout the Panthers in this game. They are coming off two straight losses prior to the bye week and will look to bounce back in a big way.
