MMA Regional Pick of the Week: LFA 220
LFA Flyweight Fight: Chance Ikei vs Jordan Burkholder
Card Start Time: Saturday (10/25), 8:30pm EST (UFC.tv)
The regional side of MMA has been a bit chalky as of late. The UAE Warriors 64 event on Wednesday saw four straight favorites of -750 or better all cash without an issue. However, we’ve finally found some value on an underdog – this time in LFA.
In one of the main card fights, Chance Ikei looks to defend his perfect record. While he’s shown off all the signs of actually being a prospect, he also has not really faced anyone. His five opponents combine for a career professional record of 6-5. Now he’s stepping in there with a guy who is substantially better than that.
Jordan Burkholder was once talked about in the same vain as Ikei. He was a highly touted prospect, but then he dropped a pair of fights to a couple of tough opponents. The bottom line is that he is still a tough wrestler that can give trouble to anyone. It’s a huge step-up for Ikei and definitely worth a stab at over 2-to-1 money.
