Week 9 of the College Football season is here. It’s been a fun journey so far. We’ve had the teams we expected to be good, the upset teams, the shocking firings. Yet, there is still plenty to come as we embark on another week of College Football action. As we do each week, let’s dive into the College Football Week 9 line and find our best underdogs to build an upset parlay.
Last week kicked off with the Louisville Cardinals coming home for us on Friday night and cashing our +425 moneyline and kicking the parlay off right. Ole Miss came oh-so-close at +240, and unfortunately, UNLV was a big letdown. Time to find this week’s Louisville Cardinals and see what dogs are barking in Week 9.
Week 9 is once again loaded with stellar matchups. The morning window kicks off with Ole Miss at Oklahoma as underdogs on the road once again. UCLA at Indiana catches your eye probably more than it should. BYU and Iowa State has the #11 team in the country as underdogs on the road. Missouri and Vanderbilt is highly intriguing in the SEC (Imagine telling someone that a few years ago). Texas A&M at LSU is another high-flying matchup in the SEC.
Now is a good time to remind you to bet these teams individually on the moneyline, and I like to bet them with the points as well. If you did this last week, it was hugely successful. If they are good enough to pull the upset, it makes a great case for taking them with the points as well.
College Football Week 9 Best Bets: Upset Parlay
Ole Miss (+175)
We’re going back to the Runnin’ Rebels in Week 9 after their near miss for us last week. This time, they take their talents to Norman, Oklahoma, where the 6-1 Sooners are awaiting them. Ole Miss had been 6-0 going into Athens last week to take on the Georgia Bulldogs. Lane Kiffin and company brought their all and went toe to toe with Georgia, leading by one at the half. They kept it close, holding the lead going into the fourth quarter, where Georgia scored 17 unanswered to take the win.
The Rebels gave it everything they had in that game and just came up short. But their season isn’t over. Going into Norman and securing a win against the #13 Sooners would be a huge resume builder and key SEC win. Trinidad Chambliss looked great for Ole Miss last week, tossing 263 passing yards with a touchdown and no interceptions. He didn’t take a single sack and rushed for 42 yards and two more touchdowns. Chambliss did all that in his first SEC road start. With that under his belt, and immense pressure on this team this week, this is when we see what Kiffin and company are made of. Give me the Rebels on the road.
Mississippi State (+215)
Let’s head back to Mississippi for the second leg of this upset parlay. Arch Manning on the road in the SEC is music to my ears. Just last week, the Longhorns struggled to defeat Kentucky in Lexington, needing overtime for a win over the Wildcats. Manning was just 12/27 for 132 yards. On October 4th, they went into the swamp to face a Florida team that has fired Billy Napier. That was in our upset parlay that week and easily cashed as Florida took Texas down 29-21 in a game that wasn’t really that close. Arch’s stats were a little better in that one, but two interceptions didn’t help the cause.
Texas has been bad against the spread this year at just 2-5 overall. As favorites of 6.5 or more (-7 against Mississippi), they are just 1-3. Mississippi, on the other hand, is 3-0 ATS when they are underdogs of 10 points or less. These Mississippi Bulldogs are literal dogs, and they bring the fight in these close games. Texas took it to Mississippi State last year at home, but this is a new team they are facing in 2026. This team took Tennessee to overtime, upset Arizona State, and almost knocked off Florida last week. They’ll rattle Manning and get under his skin this week, and have a shot to take down the Longhorns at home.
Michigan State (+450)
From SEC country to Big Ten country, it’s rivalry week in Michigan. The Wolverines of the University of Michigan head to East Lansing to face the Spartans of Michigan State. Last year’s game was a close one in Ann Arbor with the Wolverines winning 24-17. That made it a three-game win streak of the Paul Bunyan Trophy. 2021 at home was the last time Michigan State took down their in-state rivals. Rivalry games are a great spot to catch underdogs who get up in big spots. We’ve seen time and time again, a not-so-good team upset their rivals because of what’s at stake.
This Michigan State team has shown the ability to move the ball against tough defenses like Indiana and USC. Their defense has had its struggles, but so has Michigan’s freshman quarterback, Bryce Underwood. Much like Arch Manning and the Texas Longhorns, Underwood and company have struggled mightily on the road. They lost to Oklahoma on the road. Then went to Nebraska and snuck out with a win against a Husker team that didn’t play well and proved last week they may be fraudulent. Two weeks ago, they traveled to USC and got blown out. This is a chance for Aidan Chiles to show up and show out, and I think we’ll see that from the experienced Junior quarterback.
Ole Miss + Mississippi State + Michigan State Parlay (+4664)
Toss these three teams together to create our Week 9 College Football upset parlay, and a cool $20 bill nets out $952.88. Grab your drink of choice, get comfortable, and root for the upsets!
