Carolina Hurricanes vs Vegas Golden Knights
Start Time: 10:00 PM EST
We’re only making one stop for my goal scorer parlay on Monday night – Las Vegas, the perfect place to end my slump and hit it big. And we should get a good hockey game to watch, as well, with two undefeated teams butting heads, with the 5-0 Carolina Hurricanes visiting the 4-0-2 Vegas Golden Knights.
But we don’t need a good hockey game, nor do we care who remains undefeated coming out of tomorrow night. No, we only care that each team scores at least one goal on Monday night, and that the correct players do the scoring.
For the visitors, we need Seth Jarvis to light the lamp, which hasn’t been an issue for the Hurricanes’ top-line right winger. Jarvis has six goals in five games this season, tied for second-best in the NHL. His 22 shots on goal are the ninth most in the league, so he isn’t shy.
For the home side, I’m going with a guy tied with Jarvis with six goals – left winger Pavel Dorofeyev. Dorofeyev broke out last season for Vegas, scoring 35 goals, and this year he’s doing most of his damage (four goals) playing on the Golden Knights’ top power play unit.
