MLB NRFI and YRFI Picks – October 19
Toronto Blue Jays vs. Seattle Mariners
First Pitch – 8:03 pm EST

After being on a lot of NRFIs early in this postseason, this has to be a YRFI in Game 6. There are so many things pointing in that direction. The first reason is that the Blue Jays are yet again going with rookie Trey Yesavage on the bump. While his early rookie success was awesome, the Mariners hit him a bunch in his most recent go. He allowed four runners in the first and gave up three runs. He ended with five runs in just 4.0 innings of work. With the Mariners looking better on the road anyways, they should strike early in this one.
Even if the Mariners don’t score an early run, you have to like the chances of the Blue Jays picking our NRFI up. Logan Gilbert is getting the start for the Mariners and he didn’t fare well last time either. The Blue Jays got to him for two runs in the first, and it came on three hits. And while the Blue Jays were a touch quiet in Game 5, they have scored 23 runs over the last three games. Tack another on here.
