MMA Regional Pick of the Week: PFL Africa 3
PFL Africa Featherweight Fight: Patrick Ocheme vs Abdul Razac Sankara
Card Start Time: Saturday (10/18), 12:00pm EST (PFL App)
In the main event of the afternoon card, we’ve already seen tons of line movement. After opening north of two dollars, Sankara has dropped all the way down to +144 and that number is on the move. I think the public has got this one right and is ready to make the books pay for a misplaced line.
A big reason that I’m on Sankara is just how much power he packs. He landed a devestating question mark kick in his last fight and that’s just a taste of what he can bring to the table. Additionally, he has shown finishing instinct when it comes to the grappling. He’s solid in the scrambles and has picked up finishes with a ninja choke in the past.
I love that finishing ability against a guy like Ocheme. Ocheme looks very skilled on the feet. He’s quick moving and cuts odd angles. However, one of his biggest weaknesses is that when he gets hit he tries to get it back. That causes him to get a touch sloppy and opens him up to be hit even harder. With a guy who can punish you for being sloppy across the cage, I’m going to fade Ocheme here.
