In last week’s survivor picks article, we hit on the Packers lock. It was the easy call on the board for a reason. The Bills let us down, dropping a non-divisional game to the Falcons. The Patriots now lead the AFC East. Our contrarion dog pick hit as well, with the Bears taking down the Commanders. It’s seven weeks in, and I hope you’re still surviving! Let’s take a look at the Week 7 NFL Survivor picks!

The Lock: Chicago Bears
The Chicago Bears have won three games in a row, including back-to-back road games. Now they’ll return home to take on the New Orleans Saints, who have struggled against everybody except for the Giants. Even in the Giants game, the Giants moreseo beat themselves.
There won’t be many opportunities this year to pick the Bears where you feel confident. However, this is one where I feel like you can. Their defense has forced three turnovers in three straight games, the longest active streak in the NFL. Now they’ll take on a Spencer Rattler-led team that has struggled aside from a few big plays.
Consistency hasn’t been something the Saints have been able to find. However, it would appear as if the Bears had. That includes on offense, where they ran the ball very well coming out of the bye week. The Commanders had a good run-stopping defense. However, that didn’t stop the Bears from rushing for 145 yards.
Look for Chicago to control this game in front of their home crowd and win their fourth straight game in a row. Look out, NFC North, these aren’t the lowly Bears of last year. They’re playing a full 60 minutes and closing games like they haven’t been able to do the past handful of years. They’re a great selection among your NFL Week 7 survivor picks.
Another Confident Pick: New England Patriots
The next team for our NFL Week 7 survivor picks is another team that’s getting hot, the New England Patriots. The Patriots have won their last three games, including a home win against the Panthers. They also added two road wins against the Saints and their AFC East rival, the Buffalo Bills. (Sorry, Don of Bills Mafia – Adam Pelletier)
Now the Patriots hit the road again to take on the Tennessee Titans. The Titans have been very inefficient, only winning one game. They’re also 0-2 straight up at home. The scariest part of this game is that the Titans just fired their head coach. Oftentimes, you see a one-game bump from an interim head coach.
However, this is a Vrabel revenge spot that you have to jump on. The Patriots’ head coach, Mike Vrabel, will take on the team that he coached for years. I wouldn’t say their faults were on him either, as Vrabel did a lot with a little. This is a guy who made the playoffs with Ryan Tannehill as their quarterback, after all. Look for the Patriots to keep their hot streak going.
An Underdog Pick: Jacksonville Jaguars
For my underdog, contrarian pick in the NFL Survivor picks for Week 7, I’m taking the London Jags. The Jaguars have been far better than most people thought this year. They’ll now face a strong Rams team. However, the Jaguars have been decent against the run all year and should be able to slow Kyren Williams down.
That will force Matt Stafford and the Rams to beat the Jaguars in the passing game, likely without Puka Nacua. The Rams, overall, are the better team. However, Liam Coen has played this Rams team and will have some ideas on how to stop them.
It’s a riskier pick, but the across-the-pond locale also gives me some confidence in it. These games tend to be a little slower and a little sloppier, which means the flashier offense can usually bring it down to the wire and win out. With Stafford’s age and no Puka, Jaguars are the flashier offense.
