After a soft opening the past couple of days, the 2025/26 NHL season really gets rolling tomorrow, with 28 teams in action. New York Rangers vs Buffalo Sabres

The Battle of New York State takes place tomorrow night in Buffalo, as the Sabres make their season debut, hosting the 0-1 New York Rangers. And if Buffalo is to have any success this season, they need their superstar, Tage Thompson, to have another strong season.
The Phoenix native lit the lamp 44 times last season, bouncing back from a 29-goal season. He’s now gone for over 40 goals twice in the past three seasons for Buffalo. And Double T likes to play the Sabres’ in-state rivals, with five goals in his last 10 games against the Rangers.
Ottawa Senators vs Tampa Bay Lightning
Start Time: 7:00 PM EST
Now we’re heading south to Florida, where the Ottawa Senators and the Tampa Bay Lightning will be kicking off their seasons. The Lightning could be a low-key Stanley Cup contender this season, and another 40+ goals from Brayden Point would help in that pursuit.
Point LOVES playing against the Senators, as he’s carved them up for eight goals over the last 10 meetings between the teams. Look for him to get off to a hot start tomorrow night.
