NFL Survivor Picks Week 6

NFL Survivor Picks Week 6

In last week’s survivor picks article, there was a struggle. I hope that if you took my advice, you went with the Colts and not the Rams. The Rams blew a game that should have been an easy win against a beat-up 49ers team. However, that’s not how it went down. Our dog, the Giants, also fumbled the game away. At least I didn’t suggest the Cardinals, which wiped many people out of their NFL survivor leagues. Let’s take a look at the Week 6 NFL Survivor picks!

The Lock: Green Bay Packers

The most obvious pick for your NFL Week 6 survivor picks is the Green Bay Packers. The Packers play the Cincinnati Bengals at Lambeau Field, where they normally have a huge home-field advantage. The Packers are coming off a bye week. Therefore, they’ve had extra time to prepare and rest up.

The Bengals have been spiraling ever since Joe Burrow’s injury. Jake Browning has thrown for touchdowns, but has also struggled and thrown plenty of interceptions. The Bengals’ front office decided it was time for a change and traded for Joe Flacco. Reports are stating he’ll start, despite the fact that he has only been with the team for less than a week.

Will the Packers win by 14 like they’re favored? This team seems more of a down-to-business, get-in, get-out type of team. They don’t run up scores normally. However, they’re still more put together than the Bengals are at this point. Micah Parons and the defensive line should dominate this struggling offensive line, and it may be a long night for Joe Flacco. I’m pretty confident picking the Packers in my NFL Survivor.

Another Confident Pick: Buffalo Bills

The next pick that I’m confident in for my NFL Week 6 survivor picks is the Buffalo Bills. The Bills may be coming off a loss to the Patriots and hitting the road to Atlanta. However, I don’t think they drop two in a row, especially against an Atlanta team that they are far better than.

The Bills have some history on their side as well. They’re 8-2 in the last ten games after a loss of three or fewer points. They’re also 5-2 in the last seven seasons before a bye. The Falcons, on the other hand, are 2-5 against the AFC East in their last seven games against them.

Josh Allen and the Bills are likely pretty pissed after dropping a game to division rival, the New England Patriots. This should play out on the field, where they’ll flex themselves and show that they’re still one of the top teams in the league. Yes, I think the Falcons can move the ball with Bijan Robinson. However, I don’t think Michael Penix is ready to go toe-to-toe with league MVP Josh Allen.

An Underdog Pick: Chicago Bears

For my underdog, contrarian pick in the NFL Survivor picks for Week 6, I’m taking my Chicago Bears. I know what you’re thinking. You want to point to last year’s debacle. The Hail Mary from the Commanders was the fail mary for the Bears. The play that seemingly sent the Bears into a downward crashing spiral last year.

However, the Bears have had a full year to think about that. They’re also coming off a bye week where they’ve had two weeks to plan on attacking this Commander’s team and exacting revenge. Revenge is a meal best served cold, after all.

Watch for Tyrique Stevenson to get an interception, maybe even for a touchdown. This Bears team historically matches up well against Washington. In fact, we’re just a couple years removed from Justin Fields dropping 40 on them.

The Bears are 11-4 against the spread on Monday nights in the past 15 appearances. The Commanders are 2-16.  The Bears will take this game coming out of their bye week and advance to 3-2.
