While the UFC continues to be the king when it comes to MMA and gambling, there is more MMA than ever to bet on now. Promotions all over the world as well as domestic ones are showing up in sportsbooks. The advantage here is that the data is usually quite a bit less sharp than when you’re making MMA predictions for the UFC. So we’ve decided to dig into some each week to get you started on your regional MMA journey. This week we keep it domestic for LFA 219 from Clarksville, Tennessee for our regional MMA pick.

MMA Regional Pick of the Week: LFA 219
LFA 219 Welterweight Fight: Martin Camilo vs Raheam Forest
Card Start Time: Friday (10/10), 7:30pm EST (UFC Fight Pass)
The co-main event on Friday provides an opportunity to pick up some real value. While Raheam Forest has been kicking around bigger North American promotions for the last few years, it’s his South American counterpart who has the edge here.
Camilo has strengths in a number of different arts. On the feet, his check hooks have been a huge part of his game. He is excellent at punishing fighters for getting too aggressive using those. In addition, when fighters try to close the distance on him, he has some great foot sweeps that he uses to take control. He has nice top control and is able to keep the fight there is he wants.
These skills should play up against Forest, who tends to be overly aggressive. Not only does he get a little wild, but it’s made his striking defense weak in the past. As a result, he seems prime to get picks off by Camilo sometime early in this one.
