Cleveland Browns at Detroit Lions Preview and Predictions

Joe Flacco and his Cleveland Browns hit the road to Michigan this week to take on Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions. Both teams are coming off big Week 3 wins and looking for more in Week 4. Let’s jump in and take a look at this Browns-Lions preview and predictions.

MYBOOKIE BONUS

The Cleveland Browns scored a big upset win over the Green Bay Packers last week. The Packers came to town as 8.5-point favorites, and the Browns scored the outright win. Back in Week 1, they lost to the Joe Burrow-led Bengals by just a single point. Week 2 was rough, as they ran into the Baltimore Ravens buzz saw, losing 41-17.

The Lions are coming off a huge win over those Baltimore Ravens, who they ran all over on Monday Night Football, winning 38-30, a score that was closer than the game itself. The Lions lost to the Packers in Week 1, 27-13, but followed it up with a convincing 52-21 win over the Chicago Bears in Week 2.

Cleveland Browns at Detroit Lions Preview and Predictions

Jahmyr Gibbs 5+ Receptions (+156)

This Cleveland Browns defense is no joke, as exhibited in last week’s game against the Green Bay Packers. They’ll be able to get pressure on Jared Goff, which will force him to get the ball out quickly. Jahmyr Gibbs is a reliable receiving option for Goff, and it’ll be a great way for the Lions to spark some offense.

When the Lions played the Packers in Week 1, another team with a tough, stringent defense, Goff looked Gibbs’ way a lot. He targeted the running back 10 times, and Gibbs caught all 10 of them. We only need half of that effort this week to cash in a good number. Gibbs has hit this in two of the Lions’ three games.

Detroit Lions -9.5 (-120)

Dan Campbell covers spreads. The Lions are 2-1 ATS this season, and went 12-6 ATS in 2024. The Browns are coming off a huge emotional win against a tough Green Bay team. To turn around and do that in back-to-back weeks, it won’t be easy.

The Lions showed the world Monday Night that they are an elite football team. The Browns’ defense is tough, but the last time they faced an offense this good, the Ravens blew their doors off. Give me the knee biters in this one.
