NFL Week 3 Anytime Touchdown Bets

NFL Week 3 Anytime Touchdown Bets

NFL Week 2 was full of action and, of course, touchdowns! We nailed a couple of anytime touchdown bets, such as Jalen Hurts and D.K. Metcalf. Others, like Jordan Mason, let us down, while Justin Fields left with an injury after leading his team in rushing yards. However, we’re ready to bounce back with our NFL Week 3 anytime touchdown bets! Here’s five players I’m placing my cash on for this weekend!

NFL Week 3 Anytime Touchdowns

Chase Brown (-125)

The first pick for our NFL Week 3 anytime touchdowns is slightly chalky at -125. Chase Brown, the leader of the Bengals’ backfield, will likely be leaned on to help open up the passing game for backup quarterback Jake Browning. The good news is that it should be easy for him, as the Vikings are allowing 168.5 rushing yards per game.

The Vikings are coming off a game where they just allowed Bijan Robinson to run for 143 yards and Tyler Allgeier to gain 76. Brown has had a slower start this year, only averaging 2.4 yards per carry through two weeks. However, this is the exact bounce-back situation he needs to show he can help this team win games with Joe Burrow out.

The implied and projected stats per PFF have Brown running for 72 yards and a 60% chance at scoring a touchdown. At -125, I like those odds, and he should be considered in your NFL Props and anytime touchdown bets for Week 3. Even though it’s a juiced number, he’s a great addition to your NFL parlay as well!

Travis Etienne (+115)

The next player we’re adding to our NFL Week 3 anytime touchdowns is Travis Etienne. Etienne has had a nice resurgence after a disappointing year last year. He ran for 143 yards in Week 1 against the Panthers and then got in the end zone on a catch in Week 2. He’ll now face off against the Texans, who just allowed Bucky Irving to run for 71 yards and Rachaad White to run for 65 and a touchdown.

Etienne has been explosive this year. In fact, running the ball, he’s had five explosive runs in just two weeks. For the record, an explosive run is a run of over 10 yards. While his implied stats only have him with a 40% chance of a rushing touchdown, he’s getting enough carries to warrant throwing in to our NFL Week 3 props, parlay, and anytime touchdown bets.

The Texans are allowing 120.5 rushing yards per game on the ground, including 4.4 yards per rush. The Jaguars are averaging 29.5 rushing attempts per game, and with Etienne’s big-play ability, this should set up to be a perfect match for him. This will also be a crucial game for both teams as they fight for the division, already behind the 2-0 Colts.

Kenneth Walker (-180)

Kenneth Walker is the next player on our NFL Week 3 touchdowns and is a great player to throw in your parlays and prop bets because of how juiced his number is. At -180, the implied odds are that Walker is getting into the endzone, no matter what. I tend to agree with this for multiple reasons. Even though it’s juiced as a standalone bet, as Cody Zeeb of the Nascar Gambling Podcast says, you only pay the juice if you lose.

Walker had a slow Week 1 before bouncing back in Week 2. He shares the backfield with Zach Charbonnet. However, Charbonnet is dealing with a foot injury that will likely keep him out in Week 3, paving the way for Kenneth Walker to get the majority of the touches.

Last week, Walker ran for 105 yards and a touchdown. In his last game against the Saints, he went for 88 yards and a touchdown. At -180, it may not have as much stand-alone value. However, I can’t help but include it in my Week 3 plays.

Keenan Allen (+210)

How good has Keenan Allen been this year? He’s scored a touchdown in each game so far. Therefore, at +210, how can we not put him in our bets for NFL week 3 anytime touchdowns? Allen has looked like the top wide receiver he was for them just a few years ago, despite having a 1-year stint with the Chicago Bears.

The Chargers face off against the Broncos in a big divisional game where the Chargers could open the season with three division wins. It’s possible Surtain travels along with Keenan Allen. However, he may also work against Ladd McConkey as well as Quentin Johnston.

Regardless, Allen is hard to fade right now. When the defenses blitz Justin Herbert, he targets Allen 36.3% of the time, which is 8th overall among all wide receivers. Now, Herbert will face off against a Broncos’ defense that blitzes at the highest rate in the NFL on passing plays. This should lead to Allen seeing a high volume of targets.

Because Allen has such a nice number of +210, he’s great to work into your NFL Week 3 props or parlays!

Rome Odunze (+135)

The last player for our NFL Week 3 anytime touchdowns is the guy that’s become Caleb Williams’ favorite target, Rome Odunze. The Cowboys just let Russell Wilson throw for 450 yards. While I expect them to make adjustments so that Williams doesn’t do the same, the Bears should still be able to move the ball in the air.

Odunze has three touchdowns so far this season, including two last week. He now faces a defense that ranks 25th in receiving touchdowns allowed. Since he’s not the only receiving threat on that team with DJ Moore, Cole Kmet, Olamide Zaccheaus, and Cole Kmet, they can’t just focus on Rome.

Sure, it’s possible that Matt Eberflus, the defensive coordinator for the Cowboys, works to completely stop his old team. However, I’m not sure they have the personnel to do it. Through two weeks, Odunze is 9th in pass snaps in the NFL, 12th in targets, 9th in receiving yards, 1st in receiving touchdowns. Caleb Williams is 5th in passer rating when targeting him. Look for Odunze to get targeted heavily and to get in the end zone. At +135, I can’t help but include it in my NFL anytime touchdown bets parlay!

Speaking of, you can round robin all these Week 3 anytime touchdowns. Throwing them into the NFL Week 3 parlay gets you the following round-robin numbers.

By 2’s +373
By 3’s +907
By 4’s +2015
5 Leg Parlay +4285
