Las Vegas Aces vs Seattle Storm
Start Time: 9:30 PM EST
The Seattle Storm, who are hosting the Las Vegas Aces tomorrow night in Game 2 of their first-round best-of-three series, is one of those aforementioned teams with its back against the wall. Losing 102-77 to the Aces on Sunday has put them behind the 8-ball.
Now, based on the advanced stats I use to handicap WNBA games, Seattle should be a 3.5-point favorite at home tomorrow night. But the advanced stats don’t take into account the juggernaut that the Aces have become over the last half of the season. Including Sunday’s victory, Las Vegas has now won 17 straight games and 19 of its past 20. The last time they lost a game was August 2nd.
So I’m throwing the numbers out of the window. The Aces are going to wrap up the series tomorrow night, and the five points they’re laying looks like a gift.
