They’re doing it to us again. For the second time in less than a month, there is no UFC event taking place this coming Saturday. But the lights of the octagon will be back on next week in Perth, Australia, as the UFC hosts events for nine straight Saturdays. In the meantime, there is still plenty of MMA action occurring outside of the UFC this week. For my MMA Main Card Pick of the Week: DWCS Week 6, I’ve got a winning play for Tuesday’s main event. MMA Main Card Pick of the Week: DWCS Week 6
DANA WHITE’S CONTENDER SERIES: WEEK 6
Main Card Start Time: Tuesday – 8:00 PM EST – (ESPN+)
While we technically don’t have any UFC events this week, there will be UFC-adjacent MMA action going down on Tuesday, as Week 6 of Dana White’s Contender Series takes place. Ten more UFC hopefuls will battle it out, hoping to win and impress the boss, Dana White.
In the main event, Spain’s Hecher Sosa faces Brazil’s Mackson Lee in a bantamweight fight, and our resident DWCS whisperer, Gumby Vreeland, expected Sosa to be a big favorite. Instead, we’re getting Sosa at +150. Sosa has won 10 straight fights, five straight inside the distance, and if Gumby’s in on him, so am I.
