The UFC’s third annual event commemorating Mexico’s Independence Day, Noche UFC, goes down this Saturday in San Antonio, Texas. However, the level of talent on the card is a drastic drop-off from the first two editions of Noche UFC. Nonetheless, we’ll win money on it. For my MMA Main Card Pick of the Week: Noche UFC 3, I’ve got a winning play for Saturday’s co-main event. Let’s go!

MMA Main Card Pick of the Week: Noche UFC 3
Noche UFC: Lopes vs Silva
Main Card Start Time: Saturday – 6:00 PM EST – (ESPN+)
Saturday’s fight card was more intriguing when young upstart Raul Rosas Jr was still scheduled to face veteran Rob Font in the co-main event. Sadly, Rosas got injured, and instead, another youngster, David Martinez, has been moved up the card to take the veteran test.
I think this is too stiff a test for Martinez, one fight into his UFC career. Font is taking his ‘gatekeeper’ role very seriously, turning back the last two prospects fed to him. He’s very well-rounded and extremely durable, and is far and away the best fighter Martinez has ever faced. And we’re getting Font at a very nice moneyline price.
