The first week of the NFL regular season closes with a clash between NFC North foes as the Vikings visit the Windy City to take on the Bears. Several new faces will take the field for both teams in this matchup, but the rivalry still runs deep. As always our Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears Preview and Predictions get you set for all the fun.
Minnesota finished last season with a 14-3 record which was only good enough to land them in second place in the NFC North. The Vikings enter this season without the services of Sam Darnold who led their surprisingly explosive offense last year. They will turn the keys over to J.J. McCarthy who is hoping to enjoy a breakout season under center.
Chicago had high hopes last season after drafting quarterback Caleb Williams first overall in the 2024 draft. Unfortunately, those hopes did not pan out as the Bears ended the season 5-12 and in last place in the North. They are looking to turn it around this year to get back on the right side of the .500 mark.

Minnesota -1.5 (+100 via ESPN BET)
It seems the books are not quite confident that McCarthy can get it done this week. However, the young signal caller has history on his side. His Vikings have beaten the Bears four of the last five times they have met. Minnesota has been the favorite three times in that span and managed to cover in each of those. On top of that, the Bears went 0-2 against the Vikings with Caleb Williams under center.

DJ Moore Over 55.5 Receiving Yards (-114 via DRAFTKINGS)
Moore enters this matchup having gained at least 56 receiving yards in four of his six career games against the Vikings. Overall, the veteran wideout is averaging 66.1 receiving yards per game through his seven-year career. He will face a Minnesota defense that allowed the fourth most passing yards per game last season (239.8). That number jumped up to 243 on the road.
