The Tennessee Titans hit the road to Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado on Sunday. #1 overall NFL Draft Pick Cam Ward will lead his Titans from the quarterback position as he faces off with Bo Nix, the second-year quarterback for the Denver Broncos. This game features the biggest spread of the weekend, and a popular survivor pick play. Let’s preview and predict the Tennessee Titans at the Denver Broncos
The Titans were the worst team in the league last year, head coach Brian Callahan’s first season. They selected their quarterback of the future, Miami’s Cam Ward. Yet the team is still projected to be one of the worst in the league, and according to the first coach fired odds. Callahan is one of the favorites to lose his job early.
Denver finished 10-7 in 2024 under the leadership of rookie Bo Nix. Nix is looking to build on a strong rookie campaign and propel his team into the playoffs once again, with sights set on a playoff win in 2025. They added JK Dobbins, who will start at running back, as well as rookie RJ Harvey who should see plenty of action as well.
Tennessee Titans at Denver Broncos Preview and Predictions
Bo Nix Over 19.5 Rushing Yards (-110)
Bo Nix showed the league last year that he can work on his legs. In the playoff loss to the Buffalo Bills, it only took four attempts for Nix to rush for 43 yards. Nix went over 20 rushing yards in 11 games last season including the final five of the year. The Titans’ defense won’t be the toughest that Bo sees anytime soon.
Denver Broncos -8 (-110)
This is an easy one for me. It’s the biggest spread on the weekend, but for good reason. It’s Cam Ward’s first career game, on the road against a tough defense and against the elevation of Mile High. The Titans were underdogs almost every week last season, and still went just 2-15 against the spread. They aren’t a good team, and their coaching is questionable at best. The Broncos roll in a perfect situation.
