Football is finally back, and if you think I was going to ease into Week 1 calmly, you clearly haven’t met me. This week’s show was a perfect storm of hot takes, fantasy football fever dreams, and just a little Circa Millions panic.
We kicked things off with my guy C.J. Sullivan, who never fails to bring the energy. Between laughing at his “dream bets” and debating which props might actually cash, I was reminded why this is the most fun time of year. Anything feels possible in Week 1. Kyler Murray ladder bets? Brock Bowers touchdown tickets? Sure, let’s throw them all in and sort it out later.
Then Adam Pelletier, managing editor at SGPN, joined the madness. Adam’s one of those guys who can pivot from sharp betting talk to fantasy draft tips without missing a beat. He broke down Bills vs. Ravens on Sunday Night Football — one of the best matchups of the week — and made me feel way too confident about James Cook and a handful of rookies. He even had me nodding along about waiting on quarterback and snagging value late. Yes, Adam, I hear you.
And just when things started to feel under control, Producer Ryan jumped in so we could start wrestling with our Circa Million entry. Let’s just say my nerves went from “manageable” to “screaming into a pillow” in about five minutes. Cardinals over the Saints? Chiefs over the Chargers? Raiders upsetting the Patriots? All on the table. We didn’t lock anything yet, but Thursday’s show with Jason Gold and Brady Cannon will get us there.
So yeah — Week 1 is already chaos, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
