The Chicago Sky are having a most rotten season. How rotten? Sitting at 9-29, they are having the worst season in franchise history outside of their inaugural season in 2006, when they went 5-29.
So it probably comes as no surprise to hear that the Sky have a corresponding rotten defense. They give up 86.2 points per game, third-worst in the WNBA, and they have the league’s worst defensive rating.
It also probably comes as no surprise to hear that I’m in on a player prop for the team facing the Sky tomorrow night, the Seattle Storm. That bet would involve Storm veteran Skylar Diggins, who is having another typical Skylar Diggins season, averaging 15.6 ppg and 6.0 apg.
The last time Diggins faced the Sky, she went off for 24 points and six assists; the time before that, it was 21 and three. I like Diggins to top 21.5 points plus assists tomorrow night.
