Texas Rangers vs Athletics

Yep, we’re once again headed to a city that doesn’t even officially have a Major League Baseball team for our MLB best bet tomorrow. Makes perfect sense. The team formerly known as the Oakland Athletics is having a typically bad year in their first season in their temporary home in West Sacramento, but at least they’re a bit better than last season. Progress!
But the A’s aren’t nearly as good as the Texas Rangers, who they welcome for a three-game series starting tomorrow. The Rangers are one of the league’s best teams, whose pedestrian 68-67 record is due to bad luck (at least according to the advanced stats).
My only real concern is that the Rangers are really awful away from Arlington. But to counteract that, the Athletics are bad in their new minor league home digs. And Texas starts Jack Leiter tomorrow on the bump, and he’s been hot in August.
