It’s getaway day in The Bay, so we’ve got an early start time tomorrow as the Chicago Cubs and the San Francisco Giants meet for the final time this season (barring a not-very-likely playoff meeting). The Giants took Game 1, the Cubs are leading Game 2 as I write this, and I’m expecting the Cubs to win Game 3 tomorrow.
Yep, I’m in on the road dogs tomorrow in San Francisco. The Cubs are a significantly better team than the Giants, plain and simple, with advanced stats rating them as almost a run better than San Francisco tomorrow. Plus, they’re a better team on the road (35-31) than the Giants are in Oracle (31-33).
With Shota Imanaga going up against Logan Webb, there is no real distinct advantage for either team in what should be a pitcher’s duel.
All this makes the Cubs as a dog on the moneyline a steal of a play for Thursday.
