Normally, on the rare week when the UFC is dark, there are a plethora of other options in the MMA sphere to watch and bet on. This week, however, is pretty barren. But it’s not totally bare. Dana White’s Contender Series: Season 9, Week 3
Main Card Start Time: Tuesday – 8:00 PM EST – (ESPN+)
Tuesday brings us the third week of Dana White’s Contender Series, with 10 more fighters vying to get their hand raised – and, more importantly, impress UFC boss Dana White and earn themselves a UFC contract.
Our main event is a makeshift one, with Trent Miller stepping in on short notice to face Ryan Gandra in a middleweight fight. Stepping into the biggest fight of your career without ample time to prepare isn’t the best-case scenario. Plus, Gandra should be the faster, more dangerous striker who has the takedown defense to keep the fight standing if he chooses.
