Best Bet For Monday (August 25th): MLB Predictions
TAMPA BAY RAYS VS CLEVELAND GUARDIANS
Start Time: 6:40 PM EST
I’ve found myself in on quite a few Tampa Bay Rays bets this season, including another winning one a few days ago. It’s mostly because they’re a better team than their record indicates, which allows you to get some good lines on them in spots where they should win.
Hopefully that’s the case on Monday as well (I’m writing this before lines have dropped). Strangely, the Rays and the Cleveland Guardians haven’t faced each other yet this season, despite it almost being September. On paper, it would appear like the Guardians are the better team here – they are 2.5 games better than the Rays and are at home.
But the advanced stats have Tampa Bay as about a half-run better than Cleveland on Monday. Plus, the visitors should have an edge with Ian Seymour going up against a struggling Tanner Bibee.
The Rays on the (hopefully plus money) moneyline is my best bet to kick off the week.
