Underdog Fantasy – DFS Picks for August 24
Jordan Pickford – Lower than 1.5 Goals Allowed
Everton might not be good this year. Hell, they may not even be compelling this year. However, one thing you have to know about them is that they are going to be in some low scoring games. Their defense is one area that holds up and Pickford is the shining star of the squad. He would have had a clean sheet in their first match if not for a ugly handball in the box. They face Brighton & Hove Albion in this one, who also couldn’t get much offense going last time out.
ChriS Wood – Higher than 0.5 Shots on Target
Chris Wood looked sensational in Nottingham’s first match of the season. He netted a brace against Brentford and was all over the field for the Reds. Now we’ve got a projection that needs him to just put one on goal, never mind put it in. He’ll get a chance to do so against Crystal Palace, who drew with Chelsea to start their campaign. Chelsea took 19 shots in that one, and if Nottingham even comes close to that, Wood should get one on goal.
Matheus Cunha – Higher than 2.5 Shots Attempted
Manchester United looked largely uninspired in their first match of the year. They got worked by Arsenal, but not due to a lack of effort from Cunha. Cunha was ripping shots constantly – tallying three on net with four overall. After being shut out last week, you have to imagine they’ll come out firing here and Cunha should be a big part of it. Fulham being a weaker squad than Arsenal should also help matters in this one.
