TORONTO BLUE JAYS VS MIAMI MARLINS
Start Time: 1:40 PM EST
The Toronto Blue Jays just keep on getting the job done. Even with All-Star first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr being out of action for the past four games, and playing on the road, the Jays have gone 3-1. That includes winning the first two games of this series in Miami against the Marlins.
Vladdy is just day-to-day, so he could be back tomorrow to try to help Toronto complete the sweep. But the Jays have shown they don’t necessarily need him to beat the Marlins – they’re just the better team.
And they should have the better starting pitcher tomorrow, as well, with Kevin Gausman going up against Eury Perez. While Perez’s stats are right in line with Gausman’s, he hasn’t been sharp in his last three starts.
Plus, Toronto is stronger on the road than Miami is at home. The Jays complete the sweep in Miami tomorrow afternoon.
