After a dynamite UFC 319 this past weekend in Chicago, the UFC octagon is off to Shanghai this coming Saturday for a pretty ok UFC Fight Night fight card. But if you live in North America, you’ll have to get up early (or stay up late) to watch it. For my MMA Prop Play of the Week: UFC Shanghai, I’ve got a heavyweight knockout prop! UFC Fight Night: Walker vs Zhang (aka UFC Shanghai)
Start Time: Saturday – 3:00 AM EST – (ESPN+)
Despite his success in the UFC, I’m still not convinced that heavyweight Waldo Cortes-Acosta is a very good fighter. But you don’t have to be a good fighter to get through the level of heavyweight fighters he’s been fed throughout his career.
Sergei Pavlovich is not in that class – he’s levels above. And he’s huge, with a half a foot of reach over WCA. I expect the Russian to piece Cortes-Acosta up on the feet and finish the fight via strikes, as he has 15 previous times in his career.
