As an aside, doesn’t it seem like every series in MLB is an interleague series? When I was a boy, there was no such thing. Anyhow, enough yelling at clouds, and let’s get to our winning play.
Tomorrow is getaway day, so we’ve got an early start time, and we’ve also got a rubber match between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Pittsburgh Pirates, as they split the first two games of this series.
The Jays, improbably, remain one of the top teams in the majors (although the advanced stats don’t consider them as good as their win-loss record indicates), while the Pirates are near the bottom of the league, as per usual. And the home team is starting a pitcher, Johan Oviedo, with an 18.00 ERA tomorrow, while Toronto counters with Chris Bassitt.
Toronto on the moneyline is my best bet for Wednesday.
