MILWAUKEE BREWERS VS CINCINNATI REDS

Improbably, the Milwaukee Brewers remain the best team in the majors (followed, even more improbably, by the Toronto Blue Jays), currently sitting with a 78-44 record. They are only six wins away from topping the 83.5 wins their over/under was set at heading into this season, with 40 games to play.
The Cincinnati Reds, who are hosting the Brewers tomorrow, are having a strong season by their standards as well, with a 64-60 record in coach Terry Francona’s first season behind the wheel. Not bad for a team projection for 73.5 wins this season.
But the Reds haven’t been picking up many W’s against the Brewers, dropping four of five to them this season. And I don’t expect them to end their season series with a win tomorrow either. Milwaukee has won a franchise-record tying 13 straight games, and tomorrow afternoon they’ll break that record on enemy turf.
