The Minnesota Twins held a fire sale at this year’s trade deadline, sending out 10 of their key players. While it appeared like they had given up on this season, they’ve won four of their last five games, even with their top player, Byron Buxton, on the DL, as per usual.
However, they are on the road tomorrow to face the New York Yankees, and the Twins are only 24-36 away from home this season. And the Yankees, despite their struggles of late, are still ranked as one of the top teams in the majors; they’ve just run into some lousy luck (according to the advanced stats, they should have five more wins than they currently have).
The Yankees should take care of the overmatched Twins on their home turf tomorrow night.
