UFC Vegas 109 keeps us in the Apex this weekend. In the main event, we have a pair of middleweights looking to stake their claim to a title shot. Anthony Hernandez has won seven straight fights and looks to tack on a signature win here. Standing across from him will be Georgian, Roman Dolidze, who has rattled off three straight himself.
There’s plenty of other fights to like on this card, so we’ll hit that fight and dig through the rest of the card to give you our UFC Vegas 109 best bets. Come check out these UFC Vegas 109 picks for Saturday.

UFC Vegas 109: Dolidze vs Hernandez – Predictions & Best Bets
Angela Hill +3.5 (-205) vs. Iasmin Lucindo
This is an absolutely brutal card when it comes to playing the moneyline. However, there are a couple of really nice spots if you like to bet spreads. Angela Hill is perhaps the best person to grab some extra points with and perhaps one of the best UFC Vegas 109 picks. She is constantly in split decisions due to her style. The majority of Lucindo’s decisions have also wound up inside of this number and she recently had a split decision herself. Look for Hill to find at least one round for herself in this one.
Miles Johns +3.5 (-115) vs. Jean Matsumoto
The hype, even after a loss, is still way in on Jean Matsumoto. However, I really think we’re overlooking how he tends to coast at times. He did so in the first round against Brad Katona and dropped that round. Johns is a better opponent that Katona and has plenty of ways to steal a round. He has some sneaky good wrestling and hits hard enough to get the judges on his side. I don’t think he’ll be able to carry the whole fight, but looks for Johns to keep it close.
Gabriella Fernandes – Wins via (T)KO (+170)
While the first couple fights of her UFC career didn’t go her way, Fernandes has found her footing. In her most recent fight, she won by submission, but it was really the hands that did it. She tagged noted kickboxer Cong Wang on the feet and grabbed the fight late. Those hands were similar to what we saw from her on the regional scene. Now she gets an opponent in Julija Stoliarenko, who has looked like a fish out of water with her striking.
Andre Fili vs Christian Rodriguez – Fight goes to Decision (-175)
Once again, the moneyline in this fight is a bit tough to get around on – unless you like the underdog. However, it does seem like a fight that is ripe to go the distance. The favorite, Rodriguez, has just one finish in his eight-fight UFC career. That came against a late replacement, who took the fight on less than a week’s notice. It’s been nearly two years since Andre Fili had a finish and you’d have to go back six years to find another one after that. This one going to the cards seems like an easy one.
Anthony HErnandez – Wins via Decision (+210)
With odds at -330 and climbing on Hernandez, I’m stuggling to find value in the main event. I do think that his complete game is just a bit too much for Dolidze, but I’m not touching that moneyline. I do think that you can find some value with him to win by decision though. Dolidze is notoriously durable and has never been finished in his career. Hernandez couldn’t get Brendan Allen out of there in his last fight and this feels like an even tougher one to finish.
Priscila Cachoeira – Wins via (T)KO (+700)
If you’ve followed my column in the past, you know I like to end these things with a bomb. One prop with big odds I like is the (T)KO prop for this bantamweight fight. Cachoeira has a bit of a bad rap due to some ugly fights in her UFC career. However, in her five fights at 135lbs in her career, she is 4-1 with four knockouts. Joselyne Edwards isn’t the most well-versed striker. While she’s never been knocked out, there is a first time for everything.
