One more week of UFC action in the UFC Apex, then the octagon is on the road for UFC 319. And, as is often the case for Fight Night cards in the Apex, we’ve got a blah middleweight main event. Slop. For my MMA Underdog Pick of the Week: UFC Vegas 109, I’m going with a UFC veteran who regularly outperforms expectations. Let’s get it on, c’mon!

MMA Underdog Pick of the Week: UFC Vegas 109
UFC Fight Night: Dolidze vs Herandez (aka UFC Vegas 109)
Start Time: Saturday – 4:00 PM EST – (ESPN/ESPN+)
I’ll start this off by saying that the lines for this week’s UFC Fight Night are absolutely atrocious, so if you want to get in on a dog, you may have to take a big swing on one. However, one underdog I wish the line was wider for is Angela Hill.
At 40 years old, Hill is 17 years older than her opponent this week, Iasmin Lucindo. Normally, that would be enough for me to pick against her. However, Hill has made a career of late of upsetting younger fighters who are favored over her. She is a tricky veteran at this point in her career and a tough out. Since Lucindo isn’t much of a finisher, I think Hill can stick around and eek out a victory.
