Lost My Voice, Producer Ryan Took Over, and Somehow This Show Was Still Fire | Stephie Smalls Show (Ep. 140)

Let me tell you about the time I lost my voice on my own show, had internet from 2004, and STILL managed to deliver an elite NFL & CFB betting episode.

Monday’s episode was supposed to be clean. Tight. Professional. Cardinals preview, some spicy college football futures, maybe one or two chaotic tangents. But God (and my vocal cords) laughed. Somewhere between trying to keep up with 22-year-olds at a cards show and screaming into the void about tight end value, my voice said, “Nope.”

Enter Producer Ryan.

Now, usually I only let him out of the basement to edit clips and read ad copy, but this time he went full Short King Kyler Energy and hosted half the show. And honestly? He crushed it. He went full redbird mode, breaking down the Cardinals’ win total, Kyler’s rushing props, and even made a weirdly compelling case for them to win the NFC West. I didn’t say I agree… but I also didn’t not say it.

Then Moneyline Mac (Ryan #2) rolled through like the college football Rain Man he is. He dropped Southern Miss over 5.5 wins, which is exactly the type of degenerate bet I didn’t know I needed. We talked LSU, Travis Hunter, Arch Manning, and yes, I did throw shade at the Manning jawline again. Sorry not sorry.

Also, I whispered through some ad reads like a chain-smoking ghost from DraftKings past. We all did our best.

If you missed it, the TL;DR is this:
My voice died. My Wi-Fi tried to kill the show. The Ryans tag-teamed it. Football was previewed. Futures were dropped. Comedy ensued. We ride.

Go listen. Then go bet Southern Miss and tell your friends you “heard it from a source.”
