Allow us to introduce our Degens Only Play of the Day, a pick so obscure, it will have you friends questioning your sanity.
Every day, we scour the books and DFS sites for that one special play off the beaten path. Today, we turn our attention to the Women’s European Volleyball Championship as the qualifying rounds are already underway. Teams are fighting to earn one the 12 remaining sports in the final tournament.

Slovenia enters Matchday 6 as the top seed in Pool C with a 3-0 record. The Slovenes are two games ahead of Israel in the standings with a game in hand. They have won each of their pool matches in straight sets and are averaging 75 points per match as a result. Slovenia played seven matches this year in the Golden European League. They combined for at least 131 points in all but one of them including a five-set slugfest with Greece in which the two combined for 208 points.

Israel currently has a hold of second place and is hoping to slot into the final tournament as one of the five best second-ranked teams. In their two pool matches so far, the Israelis are averaging a combined 151 points with their opponents. On Matchday 1, they locked horns in a four-set shootout with Estonia that produced 190 points.
These two teams met last August in the first round of pool play and missed this mark by just nine points. However, in their last five meetings, they’ve averaged 135 combined points and have exceeded this prop total twice.
