Being a degen is a core principle of our SGPN family. Well, what’s more degen than sweating out how many 180s will be thrown in a darts match? Or how many kills a player will get in Call of Duty? Allow us to introduce our Degens Only Play of the Day, a pick so obscure, it will have you friends questioning your sanity.
Every day, we scour the books and DFS sites for that one special play off the beaten path. Today, we turn our attention to our friends in Japan and the Nippon Professional Baseball League where we think an offensive battle will take place.
Degens Only Play of the Day – Nippon Ham Fighters vs Seibu Lions Over 6.5 Runs
Nippon Ham Fighters vs Seibu Lions Over 6.5 Runs (+102 via FanDuel)
Monday, August 4th, 10:00 pm Pacific
The Ham Fighter have gone 6-4 over their last ten home games due in large part to a healthy offense. Each of their last four games combined for at least seven runs. Overall, seven of Nippon’s last ten games in the friendly confines of Es Con Field Hokkaido have gone past this prop total. On top of that, six of their last seven games in total have exceeded the seven run mark including their last two.

Seibu has struggled lately to find the win column, but it hasn’t been because of a lack of runs. The Lions have blown past this total with their opponents in four of their last five games. This includes a 13-run extravaganza with the Chiba Lotte Marines at the beginning of this month. Seibu’s last two away games have also totaled at least seven runs.
These Pacific League teams last met in mid-July where two games of their three-game series totaled at least seven runs. They combined for 11 runs in game two of that series. Most books have this prop at even money so adding a little value on FaDuel makes this an enticing play.
Good luck on this and all of you plays today. We’ll be back with another Degens Only Play of the Day tomorrow.
