One more week of UFC action in the UFC Apex, then the octagon is on the road for UFC 319. And, as is often the case for Fight Night cards in the Apex, we’ve got a blah middleweight main event. Slop. UFC Fight Night: Dolidze vs Herandez (aka UFC Vegas 109)
Main Card Start Time: Saturday – 4:00 PM EST – (ESPN/ESPN+)
Christian Rodriguez has been up and down lately, going loss-win-loss over his last three fights. However, he’s still only 27 years old and has looked better up at featherweight than I originally expected him to.
For a bit there, the UFC was using ‘CeeRod’ as a prospect killer, but not this week, as Rodriguez is lined up against a grizzled veteran in Andre Fili, who he is 7.5 years younger than. Plus, Rodriguez is solid in all aspects of the sport, and I think he can be better than Fili wherever the fight takes them.
