New York Liberty vs Minnesota Lynx
Start Time: 8:00 PM EST
We get a rematch of last year’s WNBA Finals tomorrow night in Minneapolis, as 2024’s runners-up, the Minnesota Lynx, host the reigning champion New York Liberty. New York will be without their (arguably) best player, however, as Breanna Stewart continues to sit out with a leg injury.
But it’s Stewart’s fellow star teammate, Sabrina Ionescu, who has been leading the charge for the Liberty this season, leading the team in scoring, steals, and not surprisingly, three pointers made (2.5 per game). And you would think with Stewart out, she’d be jacking up more threes.
However, that hasn’t been the case, as she’s shot 2-7 and 1-5 from deep in the past two games. Going up against the top defense in the league, the Lynx, tomorrow night, and with them being able to zero in on her with Stewart absent, I expect Ionescu to continue to struggle from long range.
