After spending the majority of this season at or near the top of the MLB standings, the Detroit Tigers have been in a free fall. Heading into Sunday (when they actually won a game), the Tigers had only won two of their past 10, and 13 of their last 30.
But, as mentioned, they did get a win on Sunday, and it was against the very same Arizona Diamondbacks that they’ll be hosting for the next two days. Even after this slump, the Tigers are the superior team to the Snakes, who seem to be punting on the season by trading away (or at least putting on the block) their valuable veterans. Plus, one of them, Eugenio Suarez, got hit by a pitch on his hand on Sunday and is day-to-day, so he may not see action tomorrow.
