MMA Same Game Parlay of the Week: UFC Abu Dhabi
UFC Abu Dhabi Strawweight Fight: Amanda Ribas vs Tabatha Ricci
Start Time: 12:00pm EST (ESPN+)
Early on the prelims is a hotly contested strawweight fight between a couple of contenders. Amanda Ribas looks to reestablish herself at the top of the strawweight division, while Tabatha Ricci looks to take that next step towards the top. With Ribas having spent time up at flyweight, it is sort of hard to pick a winner in this one – which is why I like this same-game parlay.
Neither of these fighters finish many fights. In the last five years, Amanda Ribas has exactly one finish. She took out Luan Pinheiro in the last two minutes of their fight in 2023. Ricci, on the other hand, has only been in the UFC for four years. However, in that span, she has just one finish – which also came in 2023. Seven of her last eight fights have hit the judges scorecards. As a result, the first leg here is that the fight will end by decision.
To make that bet a little spicier, I like Ricci to get at least one takedown. She’s scored a takedown in each of her last three fights. Additionally, she has one in seven of her eight strawweight fights in the UFC. Ribas, meanwhile, has given up a takedown in each of her last three fights.
Regardless of who you like to win this fight, this should cash without much of a sweat.
