Apparently, there’s a UFC pay-per-view this Saturday. I say “apparently” because it’s being advertised as a big deal PPV, but that gets put into question when you look at the actual fight lineup. No title fights (unless you fall for the BMF Title nonsense). Not even a #1 contender fight. But will we still make money off the fights? Damn right. For my MMA Parlay of the Week: UFC 318, I’m parlaying my two favorite plays for the event. Let’s get it on, c’mon!

MMA Parlay of the Week: UFC 318
UFC 318: Holloway vs Poirier 3
Start Time: Saturday – 6:00 PM EST – (ESPN2/ESPN/PPV)
I’m going with a strategy that has worked well for me in the past – I’m parlaying my best bet for UFC 318 along with my MMA Gambling Podcast co-host Gumby Vreeland’s best bet.
My play is from a prelim welterweight fight between Francisco Prado and Sergey Veretennikov. Both guys have struggled in the UFC, but Prado is 13 years younger than Veretennikov, is a better grappler, and has finished all 12 of his pro wins inside the distance (six knockouts, six submissions).
Gumby’s pick, which I’m in on as well, is light heavyweight Jimmy Crute to beat Marcin Prachnio on Saturday’s early prelims. Once again, these are a couple of guys who have struggled lately, but the glaring issue here for Prachnio is that he can not stop a takedown. And Crute is a grappling specialist with good submission skills.
