#1 JANNIK SINNER VS #2 CARLOS ALCARAZ

This is the final that most tennis fans were hoping for at the beginning of this year’s Wimbledon – #1 Jannik Sinner vs #2 Carlos Alcaraz, continuing their ongoing rivalry. The two young guns have faced each other 13 times already in their nascent careers, with the Spaniard, Alcaraz, holding a 9-4 lead.
Most famously, the two just collided in this year’s French Open Finals, where Alcaraz stormed back to win the title in five sets. Alcaraz has beaten his Italian opponent in five straight matches and six of the last eight meetings. He’s also much better on grass, despite losing to Sinner in Wimbledon in 2022, and is a perfect 11-0 on the surface this year.
While Sinner’s previous Wimbledon victory over Alcaraz gives me pause, the fact that we’re getting Alcaraz as a slight dog makes it worth it to roll the dice on the youngster staying on his heater.
