The action for the Summer League is in full swing. While we got a taste of the action in California and in Utah, it’s Las Vegas where the stars start to shine. We’ve dug through all of the action for Friday’s games to get you a winner. Here’s my NBA Summer League prediction and best bet for Friday, July 11th.
NBA Summer League Predictions & Preview For July 11th
Chicago Bulls vs Toronto Raptors
Start Time: 8:00 PM EST
On day one of the Las Vegas Summer League, just one game was settled by double figures. Over half of the games were settled by three or less points. That’s a good sign for any team getting points and particularly one in the Bulls that have some star power.
While the Bulls don’t necessarily have a deep roster with a lot of NBA experience, they do have Matas Buzelis who finished 7th in Rookie of the Year voting last year. Down the stretch, he looked like a future star of the league. If they give him his run here in Las Vegas, I can see him making this game his own. I also like that teen sensation, Noa Essengue, will be in there. Although he’s young, he has tons of professional experience as well.
The Raptors squad has some guys worth noting. Ja’Kobe Walker had a brief run in the starting lineup last year with Gradey Dick hurt, but he and Jonathan Mogbo aren’t really the same firepower coming back. Even if this Raptors team does prove to be too much, they won’t be enough to cover the spread.
